From The President’s Desk

This year’s budget differs from earlier ones in the sense that it’s a Bottom Up budget, rather than the usual . By this I mean that major focus is that out of 21 lac crore budget, around 75% is going to spending on farmers , the poor parts of the country, on infrastructure ( which will provide jobs), etc etc. The norm in India and also matured economies like the USA has been what is know as Trickle Down Economics, where the rich become richer, the companies grow more etc. But both these classes do not necessarily spend their earnings/funds on productive activities within the country. Many rich people and companies invest/spend overseas, leaving India and Indians poor.

Now that the poor will get more jobs, more earnings, they will spend on their needs within their own area, locality, day to day requirements, children’s education, medical needs, house buying , travel within India (talking of the bottom of the barrel). This spend will lift the consumption and economy . The rich and companies will benefit too from such overall spending by the masses. It means spreading the wealth of the country across the board.

I am certain the benefits will become transparent as the months go by.
