Every person, entity, company or chamber needs to reinvent itself time to time to keep pace with changing times to stay relevant. So it’s also time for IBG to add some layers to its already well-oiled engine. We have already kicked off the below, but full impact will take some time
  1. Regular fortnightly meet with Consul Generals and their commercial teams at IBG office. We just did with Hungary Consul and next is China
  2. Started meetings with Government secretaries on a weekly basis
  3. Started meeting Ministers as and when possible
  4. Understanding all policies if State and Central government, so as to get funding/benefits for our members
All these initiatives are for paid members only.

Parikshit Karnik heads the business consultation and HR services end of One Eyed Octopus Studios Pvt. Ltd. He was a part of Trinity Holdings as a HR Business Partner, later leading the group into starting up business set ups in Bahrain, Qatar, and Kurdistan Iraq and took on the role of Country Head of operations and Business development for the Trinity Holdings group upon repatriating to India.

Merzi is a Commerce and Law graduate of the University of Mumbai. He was on the merit list in the Second Year LL.B. exam conducted by the University of Mumbai. He signed Articles of Clerkship with the Solicitors’ firm, M/s. Crawford Bayley & Co. and is enrolled as a Solicitor with the Incorporated Law Society, Mumbai.

He specializes in real estate, conveyancing and commercial laws and has handled several large and prestigious real estate transactions throughout India.

He was a member of the Ethics Committee set up by Tata Memorial Hospital, the premier institute in Cancer Research & Development in India which undertakes various innovative Oncology Research projects.
He was the Chairman of the Public Premises Tenants’ Association for the last several years. He has served as a Director of Lions Club of Mumbai (East) and is on the Board of companies and public trusts. He is a member of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce. He is also a Founder Member of the World Zarathushti Chamber of Commerce, India and was a member of its first Managing Committee. He frequently contributes articles on law to various magazines and journals.

Shishir graduated from the Sydenham College of Commerce & Economics. He completed his LL.B. Degree from the Government Law College, Mumbai. He was on the merit list in the Second year LL.B. Exam conducted by the University of Mumbai. He signed Articles of Clerkship with the Solicitors’ firm of M/s. Kanga & Co. and stood first at the Solicitors’ exams of the Mumbai Incorporated Law Society and won prizes for securing highest marks in all the subjects. He worked in the Solicitors’ firm Crawford and Bayley for over four years before embarking for private practice in 1983. He has also passed the Chartered Secretaries’ Examination and he is a Member of The Chartered Secretaries’ Association of India. He has also passed the Solicitors’ exam conducted by the Law Society, London and is enrolled as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England.

He specializes in Corporate Laws (including Financial Instruments and Financial Restructuring), Laws concerning Foreign Collaborations, Exchange Control, Joint Ventures, Mergers and Acquisitions, Public Issues (IPOs) and Commercial Laws.
He also assists foreign clients in setting up their India operations and represents them on their Board.

He has worked with Merrill Lynch in advising their High Net worth clients. He has been advising in family disputes relating to inheritance matters.
